“Dream of Gathering” Brings Full Moon Festival Joy to Over 200 Children in Rural Binh Thuan
Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam — Laughter, music, and colorful performances filled the evening air as more than 200 children came together to celebrate the Full Moon Festival (Mid-Autumn Festival) in a rural area of Binh Thuan Province. The joyful event, organized by Books for Dream, was part of a special initiative called “Dream of Gathering,” created to give children from disadvantaged communities the chance to celebrate, connect, and simply be children.
For many families in this rural and economically challenged area, opportunities for organized celebrations and community events are limited. Recognizing this gap, Books for Dream designed the Dream of Gathering project to create a safe and joyful space where children could come together to enjoy traditional festivities, snacks, and shared moments of happiness.

Books for Dream emphasized that the Dream of Gathering project is not only about celebration, but also about inclusion. By bringing children from different neighborhoods and families together, the event helped strengthen community bonds and reminded the children that they are valued and supported.
“This event may last only one evening, but the joy and memories can stay with the children for a long time,” a representative from Books for Dream shared. “Our goal is to give them something to smile about and a sense that they belong to a larger, caring community.”
